Explore Secretariat pays courtesy visit to UPLBFI

The Explore Secretariat, representing The Center for People and Forest (RECOFTC), conducted a courtesy visit to the University of the Philippines Los Baños Foundation, Inc. (UPLBFI) on 23 August 2023.

The purpose of the visit was twofold: (a) To acquaint university representatives at the management level about the Explore program, facilitating discussions on potential collaborations and synergies at an institutional level; and (b) To offer personalized assistance to the research team concerning technical research issues, as well as the administrative and financial management of grant.

Dr. Enrico P. Supangco, Executive Director, gave an introduction and brief background about UPLBFI to start the meeting. Following this, a presentation was delivered by Mr. David Ganz, the Executive Director of RECOFTC, alongside Mr. Sirichai Saengcharnchai, the Explore Interim Program Manager-RECOFTC.

Also present in the meeting were Ms. Warun Kmolpun (Explore Finance and Administration Officer-RECOFTC), Assoc. Prof. Maricel T. Villamayor (Associate Professor I, UPLB-CFNR), Prof. Rose Jane J. Peras (Professor 5, UPLB-CFNR), For. Rowena Esperanza Cabahug (University Researcher II and OIC Director, UPLB-IAF), Ms. Joan D. Decena (RGDRO I, UPLBFI), and Ms. Perlita L. Maligalig (Accounting Specialist-Budget, UPLBFI).
